2026 S-Class Big Bang

Current Status: Creation period - preparing for the first check-in!
A 2026 collaborative fan event between Authors & Artists for My S-Class Hunters (내가 키운 S급들) by Geunseo (근서).

ABOUT

What is this event?
This event is a celebration of The S-Classes That I Raised (나 혼자 S클래스) by Geunseo (근서), highlighting the vivid world, tone, and cast of characters that define the work.

What is a Big Bang?
A Big Bang is an event which pairs writers and artists to create a collaborative work.
The order of events is as follows:
    • Writers commit to a certain work, and start writing it. At a certain date, they present summaries of their work.
    • Mods post these summaries anonymously. Artists then send in a listing of the summaries they’d like to draw for, and the mods pair everyone up!
    • Pairs collaborate to write a story with artwork to match. We will ask for progress updates (check-ins) twice during the creation period. If you need assistance at any time, reach out to mods in #questions-concerns.
    • Finally, you’ll post your fanworks on the date scheduled for you, and get some much-deserved rest!
Walk, don’t run! Our minimum is smaller than traditional big bangs, for artists and authors alike— the writer requirement is a minimum of 3k words, and the artist works must be clean and visibly completed pieces featuring the characters at least at half-body (more on this below).
What sort of content is allowed?
In this event, all works produced must be for the S-Classes That I Raised/My S-Class Hunters fandom. Crossovers are not allowed, but we do consider different levels of involvement in this fandom (webtoon-only readers and novel readers at different points of canon), and request warnings for the expected spoiler level when matching author/artist pairs.
This Big Bang allows for all ships. All kinds of creative interpretations are welcome. There are no restrictions on content, dynamics, or ratings, as long as it is properly tagged and indicated, and author-artist matching reflects these preferences. Everything else is allowed, which includes alternate universes (AUs), canon-divergent ideas, experimental formats, and more. The only firm guideline is that canon character(s) from the original novel must remain the central focus of your work. Please note that original characters are fine as background or supporting elements, but they should not be the main focus. We acknowledge that in the past there were regrettable limitations as pertaining to ships and to darker content, and we have worked to change the course on that - we've overhauled the mod team, the Discord server, and the rules of the event themselves. Please refer to this open letter and apology statement for more information.

How may I participate?
Please note that this is a Discord event, and that you must join the server in order to participate on the event. If you have any questions about how to use Discord, please feel free to reach out through one of our contact points.
    • Writer: Writers begin creating first, bringing in a fanfiction idea, and will strive to complete the minimum word count while cooperating with an artist.
    • Artist: After the writers post summaries of the fanfiction they are creating, artists will select the ones they have interest in. They will be matched with one of those writers, and will create at least one work of art in cooperation with their partner.
    • Pinch-Hitter: In the event that a writer or artist is unable to finish their work, pinch hitters step in to ensure that the pairing of the participant in question is still able to cross the finish line.
    • Beta Reader: Beta readers give feedback for authors who request assistance with polishing their work.
    • Audience/Cheerleader: Members of the community, whose love and support keeps us creating!

Work Requirements
    • Authors will write a new, complete fanfiction of at least 3,000 words in length. Oneshot and multichapter formats are allowed.
    • Artists must submit one of the following as a minimum requirement, with the artwork clean and visibly completed, featuring the characters at least at half-body, except for comics:
     > 1x page art featuring at least two characters
     > 1x page art featuring one character, plus a setting background
     > 2x page art featuring one character each
     > 2x pages of comics
     > 5x small pieces featuring detailed chibi characters
     > Another combination of the above, or others, that reflects the same level of effort - please contact an Artist Mod for this.
    • You may participate as both an Author and an Artist, but you will not create fanfiction for your own art.    • Works generated by Artificial Intelligence (AI) are not permitted in this event.    • All works must be completed and in English.    • More information on what is expected can be found in the Event Rules.

I’ve not yet written anything for MSCH, so my debut in the fandom will be enabling all of you! I’m multiship but have a soft spot for YHYJ and HJYH.

Discord Server Mod
Hello I'm coma, the discord mod. I am here to observe and enforce rules and settle any interpersonal disputes between members that disturb the peace on the server. Ping me if you have an issue of that nature or notice brewing tensions or awkward interactions. I am not in the MSCH fandom (yet), so I am a neutral unbiased third party for such disputes. I am staunchly pro fiction.

RULES AND FAQ

Hello! Welcome to the S-Class Big Bang. Please read the following rules carefully and follow them throughout your participation in the event. These are here to ensure that everyone can collaborate, create, and enjoy themselves in a respectful and safe environment.

SERVER RULES

Please be aware that the full version of the S-Class Big Bang Discord server rules is placed within it, and that this is only a summarized version so that you know what to expect.    • As per Discord’s terms of service, you must be at least 13 years old, or you will be banned.
    • We have a zero tolerance policy for discrimination, hateful behavior, or hateful language. Respect your fellow humans, or leave.
    • We have a zero tolerance policy for ship bashing, character bashing, or other anti-fiction or fan-cop behavior. Discussion and critique is fine. Derision and judgment is not. Respect the divide between your fellow humans and the fiction they create, or leave.
    • Our channels have separation for NSFW and SFW, as well as "vanilla" versions of each for those who cannot stomach contentious topics beyond what is shown in canon, or darker content. Please be aware that you are expected to exercise some level of self-policing and drop the conversation if it makes you uncomfortable, as well as keep the conversations in their appropriate channels.
    • Penalties for behaviour that breaks the rules may range up to a permanent ban from the event.

EVENT RULES

General Event    • Do your best! We do not demand a skill level to join, but make sure you use beta readers, reach out to a mod or other creators if you get stuck, and so on! Make full use of all the tools at your disposal.
    • No unsolicited critique. This can be hurtful, especially to those who are still learning and building their skills. Ensure the creator wants feedback before you give it.
    • Participation in every check-in is mandatory. If you miss a check-in without previously warning us, we will reach out to you. If you reply within a week, we will consider it the first strike on a two-strike policy, before removal from the event on a second offense. If no response is received within this one week period, you will be automatically removed from the event.
    • Extensions will be granted with no penalty. If you have doubts about meeting a check-in, inform a mod beforehand in #questions-concerns or via DMs. Asking for an extension is better than missing a check-in.
    • Communicate with your partner! Once pairs are assigned, you are expected to work as a team. This means sharing information and keeping your partner updated on your progress. Always remember communication goes both ways: if your partner hasn't given you enough information, ask them. If your partner has failed to reply to you for at least a week, and hasn’t warned you about being absent, please reach out to a mod.
    • Ghosting will not be tolerated. We understand not everyone is on Discord at all times, but please keep in mind that this is a Discord event. Your team and mods will reach out to you here, through DMs even if not the server, so it's good to keep an eye on it.

Final Work Submissions    • Posted works must be completed and in English.
    • Fanfiction must be a minimum of 3000 words. Oneshot or multichapter formats are allowed.
    • All artwork submitted must be clean and visibly completed pieces. Monochrome art must feature rendering and shading, and coloured art must be shaded simply. Neither require high-level rendering nor backgrounds unless further specified below.
    • Artists must submit one of the following as a minimum requirement, featuring the characters at least at half-body, except for comics:
        • 1x page art featuring at least two characters
        • 1x page art featuring one character, plus a setting background
        • 2x page art featuring one character each
        • 2x pages of comics
        • 5x small pieces featuring detailed chibi characters
    • Mixing and matching of the above is allowable, so long as the overall level of effort remains similar to that of your writer. Exceptions will be considered depending on the artist's goal, such as creating linebreak dividers, banners, emojis for in-fic usage, or other non-traditional pieces, as well as mixes of art mediums and sizes.
    • Art styles can be accounted for through the submission of a sample or a social media link (yours or of the style you’re attempting), so that we know what we should be looking for in a completed piece. Artist Moderator mods are here to collaborate with you if you aren’t able to find an example, or if you change your mind.
    • The created fanworks must remain unposted until the designated posting date. In case of multichapter fanfiction or comics, we account for spaced posting of chapters throughout the posting schedule as requested, but they must still be posted only on the defined dates. Cropped progress sketches that don’t show the entirety of the work, or small excerpts of fanfiction are allowable.

Event Restrictions and Penalties    • Failing to post a completed work without coordinating with the mods and your partners for an extension will result in a one year ban from the event.
    • Failure to communicate with your partners or the mods for at least one week, when required due to deadlines, without previous warning of absence, may result in your removal from the event.
    • Missed check-ins will be given a one-week grace period, in which the mods will reach out and you must reply. If communication is established, this will be considered strike one in a two-strike policy. Reaching two strikes, or failing to respond within this one week period, will result in automatic removal from the event.
    • Deadline extensions, if requested ahead, are not penalized.

We hope to make this a space for S-Class fans of all kinds to exist in peace and create awesome fanworks together for a long time to come. If you ever have questions or need help, reach out in our questions and concerns channel in Discord, or use one of our contact points!Happy creating!
